As entries continue to arrive from all over the world and across the United States for the 45th anniversary of the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, all the elements for the SCOREville exhibit at the upcoming Off-Road Expo at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., are being finalized as well, including the live drawing for starting positions for the granddaddy of all desert races.

The SCOREville exhibit at the Off-Road Expo will salute SCORE Baja Legends and the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame on October 6 & 7.

In addition to static displays of vintage and current desert racing vehicles along with autograph sessions with many of the stars of the sport, both past and present, a live drawing for starting positions for this November’s 45th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race will be held at the Off-Road Expo on Saturday, October 6.

Reality TV star Jesse James has received the first starting position during Saturday’s drawing for November’s 44th running of the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race. While James, who lives in Austin, Texas, will pilot his No. 54 Chevy Silverado SCORE Trophy Truck, starting first among the motorcycle and ATV classes will be Craig Bowman on a Honda CRF450X.

This year’s internationally televised granddaddy of all desert races, the mammoth finale of the five-race 2011 SCORE Desert Series will be a loop race starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, with race week festivities scheduled for Nov. 17-20.
A solid total of 202 vehicles officially entered in time for Saturday’s drawing held at SCORE International’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

Oshkosh engineers have designed the LCV to incorporate the company's latest advancements in off-road suspension and diesel-electric powertrain performance. The Oshkosh Extreme Racing team will be racing two vehicles in the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 as part of its rigorous testing protocol.The Oshkosh Extreme Racing team will run its Light Concept Vehicles (LCV) through the rugged 1,061-mile desert course from Ensenada to La Paz. ANDY McMILLIN Trophy Truck #31 (First in TT class and first overall four-wheel vehicle. Andy started and drove to race mile 206. His father, Scott, drove to RM 500 and Andy drove the final leg.)

Andy said: "I started the race and I think we started 17th on the road. The plan was just to kind of take it easy and kind of let the race come to us. Sal (Fish) laid out a really rough, tough course this year. We knew that it was going to take one trip that didn’t have any problems to get the win. That was our plan all day – stay smooth and not have any downtime, no flat tires. I gave my dad the truck at mile 206 and I think we were seventh on the road and pretty close on the overall lead. My dad drove the San Felipe loop and the Mike’s loop. By the time he got to San Felipe, he was the first truck on the road. My dad handed me a helluva lead, so it was pretty easy. It was kind of just stay on the racecourse and you won’t get in trouble, so that was our plan and we followed it and let the race come to us, really."

More than 325 racers will attempt to master the rugged terrain and dethrone last year’s Baja 1000 champions and BFGoodrich Tires’ drivers Roger Norman and Larry Roeseler by taking home the overall title.

#3 - Mark Post/Rob MacCachren/ - A Robby Gordon, Don Fair, Dave Forbes, and Ed Buffington built Ford F-150 truck. It is sponsored by Riviera Time Share Resorts and Rockstar Energy Drink. It was the old Robby Gordon Valvoline and Red, White, and Blue truck. The truck has 15 class wins total, 6 with Robby Gordon
